Four years ago, I found myself standing at the mouth of a maze, with no clue about where I was coming from or where I was headed. Every answer I found only popped up a dozen more questions.
What was I meant to write?
What was I really searching for?
What price would I have to pay?
How would my life’s story unfold?
What sacrifices would be needed? How would I find my place?
What was the meaning of my quest? What was this organization I was tied to?
Where was I, and more importantly, who was I?
Faced with this whirlwind of mysteries, I chose to make peace with my confusion and frustration, just for a couple of minutes. I dramatically placed my hands on my head, pretending to be in despair, as if the world was about to stop spinning. I handed my broken phone to a friend, asking them to capture this moment of deep uncertainty – a moment destined to become a cherished reminder of a time when the puzzle was still in pieces. A sweet-sour keepsake of the simplicity of these questions, before the journey reveals itself and the tune of opportunity rings clear. I remember laughing then, and here I am now, ready to recreate that scene, but this time, in bright, vibrant colors.
